Boasting excellent hardening capabilities, 4140 alloy hex bar is an annealed cold-finished steel that responds well to heat treatment and is easy to machine. The “L” in 41L40 alloy hex means that lead has been added to improve machinability. Common applications include strippers, holder blocks, mold bases, ejectors, back up and support tooling.
